The Iranian soprano and voice teacher, Shiva Soroush, has started learning Opera singing from the age of 16, and had the opportunity of attending numerous international workshops with teachers from countries such as Austria, Italy and Norway. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Educational Science from Allameh Tabataba'i University (September 2007-July 2011).
Shiva Soroush has been working as a professional soprano singer for over 10 years, despite many difficulties for women singers in Iran. She has performed W.A. Mozart's Requiem at Vahdat Hall in Tehran (May-September 2010); L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 at Vahdat Hall (May-September 2011); John Rutter's Magnificat at Roudaki Hall in Tehran (May-September 2012); Lauretta in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi with Tehran Opera Ensemble, directed by Hadi Rosat·at Vahdat Hall (May-August 2013); Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria at Roudaki Hall (May-September 2013); Carl Orff's Carmina Burana with Tehran Choir, conducted by Mehdi Ghasemi at Vahdat Hall (March 2014); Passion of Rumi (Untold) by Hafez Nazeri and Shahram Nazeri with Touring group around Iran and at Milad Tower Hall (January 2015-October 2017); Parisa in Loris Tjeknavorian's Pardis and Parisa at Vahdat Hall (January-February 2018); Tar-e Majnoon, Mooy-e Leyli, Lyrics by Nezami Ganjavi, Composed by Ali Ghamsari as a Member of Cantata Vocal Quartet in Tehran (Jun 2022).
Due to her passion to singing and the importance of educating and inspiring other women of her country, Shiva Soroush has have also been working as a vocal coach alongside her performing career. She has worked as Solfege Teacher / Vocal Coach / Opera Singing Teacher at Avaye Mahan Institute in Tehran (January 2010-March 2011); Kherad Music School in Tehran (April 2011-September 2013); Navaye Amin Institute in Tehran (November 2012-March 2014); Rangahang Music School in Tehran (January 2014-July 2022); Koosha Music School in Tehran (January 2020-July 2022). |
