The Brazilian-American soprano, Nicole Silva , holds two Bachelor of Music degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the University of North Texas (UNT) (2011-2015), where she studied with soprano Carol Wilson. She made her Comet Opera debut as Morgana in George Frideric Handel's Alcina (April 2019), and performed with them also the role of Servilia in W.A. Mozart's La clemenza di Tito (December 2019). Outside Comet Opera, her repertoire includes the Queen of the Night in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Germany and the partial roles of Despina in W.A. Mozart's Così Fan Tutte, Zerlina in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, and Susanna W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro with UNT Opera. She is also a private voice instructor and freelance piano accompanist in the Dallas metroplex. She is also singer at St. James' Episcopal Church in Dallas (since June 2012). She is a Community Artist and is not affiliated with the University of Texas at Dallas. She currently lives in Plano, Texas. |
