Antje Siefert (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: Braunschweig, Germany

The German mezzo-soprano, Antje Siefert, studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover with Mayling Konga and the Conservatorium of Amsterdam Margreet with Margreet Honig and Jard van Nes. In addition, she attended master-classes with, inter alia, Professor Judith Beckmann, Professor Maria Kowollik (contemporary music) and Gisela May.

Antje Siefert can be heard at present mainly in the Lower Saxony region as a concert singer with a repertoire from early Baroque to Romantic, also with various chamber music ensembles, and in Lieder recitals with romantic and contemporary programmes.

In addition to her solo work, she is a member in several prestigious chamber choirs in Germany, for example, the Kammerchor Stuttgart (Frieder Bernius).
