The American mezzo-soprano, Veronica M. Siebert, studied at University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, in the studio of Kathryn Cowdrick (2017-2022). At Eastman, she was a member of Eastman Chorale (Director: William Weinert); and sang as a soloist in Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms (May 2019), and in Eastman School of Music: Bach Cantata Series (BWV 111, March 2021). In productions of Eastman Opera Theatre she performed such roles as Lady with a Hat Box/A Foreign Singer in Dominick Argento's Postcards From Morocco (February-March 2021), Cherubino & Dorabella in Mozart Mayhem (Selections from W.A. Mozart’s Operas Le nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, Die Zauberflöte) (May 2021), Endimione in La Calisto (February 2022), and Witch in Into the Woods (April 2022). She was awarded 1st place in the Civic Morning Musicals Competition and won the American Song Prize (November 2021). She also won the Heafner-Williams Vocal Competition (March 2023). |
