The Austrian (?) bass, Helmut Seidenbusch, studied in Salzburg, Basel und Utrecht and participated in master-classes with Magreet Honig and Bodil Gumeos.
Helmut Seidenbusch's repertoire covers many big oratorio and Passion parts, as well as Lieder of various periods and chamber music of the Baroque. He appears regularly at international festivals, such as Festival Aix-en-Provence, the Schwetzinger Festspielen, the Festspielen Königsfelden, the Bachwochen Stuttgart and the Tagen für Alte Musik Herne, and works with conductors such as Silvain Cambreling, David Stern, Philippe Herreweghe and directors such as Achim Freyer, Stepháne Braunschweig und Matthias Brenner. Since 1996 he as engaged regularly at the Theater Basel as a guest. He sang Seneca in Monteverdi's Poppea with the ensemble Cosí Facciamo. |
