The German tenor and vocal tutor, Thomas Schulze, sang with the Stuttgarter Hymnus-Chorknaben and studied violin with Susanne Lautenbacher. He trained at the Berliner Musikhochschule, began as light lyric tenor in Koblenz, won the O.E.Hasse prize of the Academy of Arts Berlin, sang at the Gaertnerplatztheatre Munich, Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Deutsche Oper Berlin.
In concert, especially as Evangelist and in Lieder recitals, Thomas Schulze sang with the Berliner Philharmoniker, in Munich, Vienna, Paris, festivals in Montepulciano, Cuenca, Schwetzingen, pomeriggi musicali Milan, Berliner Festwochen working with Wolfgang Sawallisch, Riccardo Chailly, Hans Werner Henze, Irwin Gage, Goetz Friedrich, and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. |
