The German conductor, organist and pianist, Albrecht Schmid, received his first piano lessons in 1965 with the pianist Eva Roth, and in 1974 organ and choral conducting lessons, among others with Dr. Paul Horn. From 1978 to 19883 he studied church music, obtained his B diploma in 1983 and passed the A-exam (major organ with Professor Hans Georg Bertram). Albrecht Schmid gives concerts at home and abroad, makers CD recordings of works by J.S. Bach, Mozart and others. He is also a composer. He is the founder and director of the Collegium Instrumental; and pianist of the Joseph Haydn Trios Stuttgart. Since 1979, he is Kantor and organist in Wiblingen, director of the Wiblinger Kantorei and in 1990 founded the chamber choir Vokal-Ensemble 15 Baden Württemberg; since 1985 he is artistic director of the Wiblinger Bachtage. |
