The German mezzo-soprano, Anja Schlosser, graduated in singing studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Ingrid Mayr, supplemented with Thérèse Lindquist and Wolfgang Holzmair, and attended master-classes with Robert Holl and Barbara Bonney, among others.
In 2006, she performed at the Salzburg Festival as Apollo in Mozart's " Apollo et Hyacinthus " and performed the same role with the Darmstädter Staatstheater on a tour Korea. In 2007, she emerged as the winner of the competitions Francisco-Vinas in Barcelona and Renata-Tebaldi in San Marino. She has given concerts at the Munich Gasteig, the Alte Oper Frankfurt in Taipei, as well as tours to the USA, Italy, Luxembourg, Taiwan and Korea. After a year at the International Opera Studio in Zürich, she was in 2009-2010 in the ensemble the local opera house, where she sang as Wellgunde and Siegrune in Der Ring des Nibelungen, Olga in Eugene Onegin, Fyodor in Boris Godunov, Flora in La Traviata and Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte, under such conductors as Christoph von Dohnányi, Marc Minkowski and Vladimir Fedoseyev. Guest engagements have taken her to Bern, Seville and the Salzburg Festival.
Anja Schlosser can be heard since this season (2012-2013) in the ensemble of the Aalto-Theater, on whose platform she has already sung Olga and Rossweisse in Die Walküre, and now also added roles as Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, Antonias Mutter in Les Contes dʼ Hoffmann und Dryade in Ariadne auf Naxos. |
