The voice of the German soprano, Lotte Schädle, was discovered in several singing competitions, when she studied at the Munich Music College with Maria Pringsheim.
In 1955 Lotte Schädle made her debut as Elevin at the State Opera of Munich. In 1957 she was employed by the Opera House of Nürnberg, to which she belonged until 1962, and where she participated in 1962 in the premiere of the opera Der Glücksfischer by Mark Lothar. In 1962 she became again a member of the State Opera of Munich, at which she had an important career until 1980. In 1957-1958 she sang at the Festival of Bayreuth as one of the flower girls in Parsifal. She had her successes first of all in parts from the field of activity of the Soubrette. Blondchen in the Entführung aus dem Serail was generally considered as her glorious role.
Lotte Schädle made guest appearances at the Vienna State Opera, in the major stages of the German speaking area and in 1965 at the Festival of Salzburg (Najade in Ariadne auf Naxos by R. Strauss). At the Edinburgh Festival of 1965 she sang again the role of Blondchen, in which she was admired. She liked also operetta singing. In the concert she had also a success, particularly as a Bach interpreter.
