The German mezzo-soprano, Veronika Sammer, began her musical training in various children's choirs and in the Bayerischen Landesjugendchor, where she took part in various projects and made several appearances as a soloist. There she received singing lessons from Tanja d'Althann, who still looks after her vocally today. She went on to study music education and then singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, where her teachers included Barbara Ebel and Monika Riedler. During her studies she gained valuable experience in the Madrigalchor der Musikhochschule München and the Vocalconsort München.
Choral music is the focus of Veronika Sammer's professional career, with her work in numerous professional ensembles, including the Philharmonische Chor München, Vokalensemble LauschWerk and Vokalzirkel München. As a soloist, she primarily performs in oratorio. She is dedicated to all musical eras, but works from the Baroque period occupy a special place. In addition to her artistic engagements, she also works as a singing teacher and voice trainer. She has been a permanent member of the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks since 2023. She is also a member of the a cappella vocal pop ensemble "6 for Chords". |
