The American mezzo-soprano and music teacher, Kathleen Ruhleder, obtained her Bachelor of Music in Voice from California State University-Northridge (1987-1991); and her Master of Music and DMA degrees in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University (1991-2012).
Kathleen Ruhleder served on the Adjunct Faculty at Glendale Community College AZ (August 2000-July 2011); Associate for Children's Music at Orangewood Presbyterian Church (December 2004-July 2011); Lecturer at Colorado Mesa University (Aug 2011-2016); Music Teacher at· Intermountain Adventist Academy in Grand Junction, Colorado (2015-2016). She also worked as Office Manager/Social Media Manager at Grand Mesa Music Publishers in Grand Junction, Colorado (2015-2016) and was Music director at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley in Grand Junction, Colorado (January-June 2016). In Colorado, she also sang at High Desert Opera. In 2016, she moved from Colorado to Houston, Texas, where she she teaches music at Houston Community College.
Kathleen Ruhleder sings with Houston Chamber Choir (Director: Robert Simpson; since August 2016) Houston Grand Opera Chorus (January-February 2017), Bach Society Houston (Director: Rick Erickson), Chorus Angelorum, and Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham in Houston (since August 2016). She is a member of Mensa, and loves her three cats. |
