The American soprano, Meredith Ruduski, obtained her Bachelor Music degree in VAocal Performance from Vocal The University of Texas at Austin (2000-2005); and her Master of Music degree in Music Performance from the University of Houston (2006-2008).
Meredith Ruduski is active as a self-employed soprano since May 2008. Hailed by critics for her “radiant,” “mellifluous,” soprano voice, she is a musician who often participates in classical, early, Baroque, and modern musical genres. She is a frequent participant with Seraphic Fire in Miami, Texas Early Music Project (TEMP) in Austin, Vox Humana in Dallas, and Santa Fe Desert Chorale in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Occasionally, you may find her singing with Austin Symphony, Santa Fe Opera, Austin Opera, La Follia Austin Baroque, and Ars Lyrica Houston (Director: Matthew Dirst). She was also Cantor/Soprano Section Leader at Saint Mary Cathedral in Austin (June 2009-June 2016).
Not one to be bound by genre, Meredith Ruduski is an eclectic musician and artist. She was the librettist, co-writer and stage director of the TEMP Opera Opera pastiche That's Amore: An Early Valentine (2015) and opera pastiche The Camping Trip (2016). She looks forward to the upcoming 2017 and 2018 operas, which she is in the process of writing.
A passionate advocate for musical performance and education, Meredith Ruduski worked as Operations Coordinator for the Texas Early Music Project (August 2014-2018), where she engages in marketing, contracting, and administration for the ensemble. She also worked as as Operations Coordinator (2014) and Marketing Coordinator (December 2014-May 2018) of La Follia Austin Baroque; and private voice instructor at Westlake High School (2012-May 2014).
Meredith Ruduski has recorded Spirituals CD with Seraphic Fire; for Michael J Lewis in various compositions; for Derek Smootz in various compositions; with Seraphic Fire in Grammy-nominated Brahms Requiem album; with Chamber Singers in American Compositions album.
Meredith Ruduski lives in the greater Austin area with her lovely and talented husband, Stephen (they married on August 8, 2008), and their lovely and talented pets, kitties Lance, Wesley, and Sol. She recently had a baby boy, Stephen. |
