The American mezzo-soprano, Sandra (Williams) Ross, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree grom Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio i, and her Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where she studied with Ed Zambara and John Moriarty.
Sandra Ross has appeared with such companies as the Cincinnati Opera, Opera North, Cleveland Opera, Central City Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Sorg Opera and most recently with the Ohio Light Opera. Internationally she appeared as Madame Giry in the German production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s The Phantom of the Opera. On the concert stage Ms. Ross has appeared as mezzo-soprano soloist in L.v. Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Alexander Nevsky, W.A. Mozart Requiem and the Antonio Vivaldi Gloria as well as others with such organizations including the Cleveland Orchestra, Ashland Symphony, Akron Symphony, Toledo Symphony and Youngstown Symphony. Among the many prominent directors and conductors she has had the opportunity to work with are Anton Coppola, Dorothy Danner, James de Blais, Steve Daigle and David Bamberger.
