The Russian soprano, Viktoria [Viktoriya] Romanova, attended the Chelyabinsk Academy of Arts graduating in singing in 2009. She won the First Prize at the 5th Edition of the Concorso Lirico Internazionale Città di Francavilla Fontana “Premio Terra degli Imperiali” (2013). She perfected herself with the tenor Renato Francesconi.
Viktoria Romanova has been a soloist at the Ekaterinburg Opera and then at the Bolshoi in Moscow and with these theaters she has toured Germany, France, Norway, Spain. Her debut took place with Adina in Elisir d’ Amore, and then continued with Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, the Queen of the Night in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Musetta in La Boheme, Gilda in Rigoletto, Susanna in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. In October 2013 she sang the role of the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow and sang the same role at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. Her repertoire includes also roles as: Violetta in La traviata, Despina in W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte, Zerlina in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Ludmila in Ruslan and Lyudmila, Gretel in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel, Ninetta in Rossini's La gazza ladra, etc. She currently lives in Saint Petersburg, Russia. |
