The English tenor, Paul Robinson, was a chorister at King’s College, Cambridge, and later returned as a Choral Scholar. He continued his studies at the Royal College of Music, where he was taught by Mark Wildman, with financial support from the Countess of Munster Trust. He was the inaugural holder of the Mills Williams Junior Fellowship. He has recently changed from baritone to tenor and is studying with Diane Forlano.
Paul Robinson’s engagements have included recitals in the Isle of Man, Huddersfield, Winchester as well as performances of Schubert’s Schwanengesang in Tel Aviv and Cambridge. He has performed George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Harmoniemasse conducted by David Hill, a recital of Goethe settings for the Goethe Institut in Glasgow, Haydn’s Missa Sancti Nicolae and Schubert’s Magnificat with the Philharmonia at the Royal Festival Hall and a recital with Simon Over at St John’s Smith Square of Frédéric Chopin, Glinka and Fernanco Sor. |
