The Austrian Mezzo-soprano, Beatrix Robein, began her music training in Vienna and received her diploma in 1993 with the bass-baritone Walter Berry.
Beatrix Robein’s first engagement was at the Wiener Volksoper It was followed by by appearances in Klagenfurt, Udine, at the Bregenz Festival, in Karlsruhe, Bonn, Augsburg and Tbilisi as well as concerts throughout Europe - with renowned orchestras and conductors. Her repertoire is wide and includes many operas from all periods as well as various Lieder. She recently made a concert tour in Holland singing Wesendonck-Lieder.
Beatrix Robein currently lives with her family Lavanttalerin in Lyon, France, where her husband Pascal Chiari is the first violinist of the Lyon National Orchestra. However, by the end of 2010 her main engagement was still at the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, one of the top five opera houses in Germany. |
