The Swiss tenor, Felix Rienth, received his first musical education in Knabenkantorei of Basle. He began tpo appear as soloist in the Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart as "First boy" with the Opera of Basle under the direction of Armin Jordan. After his maturity, he studied Spanish and German at the University of Basle before being devoted entirely to singing at Heidi Wölnerhanssen (Basle). In 2000 he obtained the diploma of opera from 'L'Opéra studio suisse de la Haute Ecole de Musique et Art dramatique' of Berne-Bienne. Following that he particpated in master-classes at the Festival of Lucerne with Barbara Schlick and Peter Schreier.
Felix Rienth has appeared in Switzerland, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic and Greece. In recent years he performed, inter alia, Selva morals by Monterverdi, under the direction of Gabriel Garrido in Geneva, Vespers by Monteverdi in Basle and Fribourg (Freiburg) in Brisgau, Dido and Aenaes ny Purcell in Zürich, Judas Maccabäus by George Frideric Handel, the Requiem of Dvorak conducted by Hervé Klopfenstein in Lausanne, Te Deum by Bruckner, the Mass in E flat major by Schubert with Thessalonique, and took part in several productions of the Théâtre Municipal of Bienne.
Moreover, Felix Rienth sang as soloist with the various European Festivals of Paris, Amsterdam, in Italy, as well as in Wallonia and in Ghent (Belgium). Promoted by the "Fondation des jeunes talents musicaux" (Foundation of the musical young talents) of Meggen/Lucerne, he recently gave, with great success, a concert of operatic arias accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of Lucerne.
In the future, Felix Rienth will sing Paulus by Felix Mendelssohn in Basle, the Passion by Heinrich von Herzogenberg in Zürich, as well as the Paradise and Perished by Robert Schumann at Victoria Hall in Geneva. He was also invited to participate with the Ensemble Baroque Bâlois La Tempesta in "Concerts de Saint Germain " in Geneva. |
