The Brazilian mezzo-soprano, Rosemara Mellmann-Ribeiro, received her vocal training at the Escola de Música e Belas Artes in Curitiba (Brazil) and at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe with Neyde Thomas and Maria Venuti. She intensified her studies through master-classes with Hilde Zadek, Ileana Cotrubas, Gundula Janowitz and Christa Ludwig and is the recipient of numerous scholarships, including the Richard-Wagner-Stipendienstiftung, among others.
From 1999 to 2003, Rosemara Ribeiro was a permanent member of the ensemble of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and performed there, among other things, as part of the Händel-Festspiele. In the 2004-2005 season she sang at the Theater Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels and later as a guest at the Badisches Staatstheater, the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari and at the Freiburg, Heidelberg and Bielefeld Theaters. As a Lied and concert singer, she takes part in various formations and concert series in Germany and Brazil. |
