The German (?) choral conductor, Eberhard Rex, studied church music at the Staatl. Hochschule für Musik Trossingen, Germany with Gerd Witte (organ), Manfred Schreier (conducting) and Josef Sinz (singing).
Soon after his studies Eberhard Rex focused on working with children's voices and choral directing as the centre of his professional work. So he worked as a voice and choirmaster of the prestigious Aurelius Sängerknaben Calw and in parallel build the Calwer Mädchenchores (girls choir), and soon achieved notable successes in concerts with his ensemble ARTEvocale. In addition, he directed several operas and oratorios projects, CD, radio and television productions. The collaboration with renowned singers, orchestras and conductors helped him to develop singing with children in the most professional level. His long experience in the field of children's singing eventually led to his appointment in August 2000 as the artistic director of the Luzerner Kantorei with emphasis on the boys choir and the boy soloists. |
