The French soprano, Nadine Renaux (real name: Nadine Perdal), began her work late 1930’s, with performances at various provincial theaters in France. In 1943 she was appointed to the Opéra-Comique in Paris, where she made her debut as Butterfly. At the Opéra-Comique, she starred in the premieres of the operas La farce de Maître Patelin by H. Barraud (1948) and Marion by P. Wissmer (1951). Since 1949 she also appeared at the Paris Grand Opéra at (inaugural role: Papagena in Die Zauberflote), where she was heard by the end of the 1950’s. In addition to her engagements in the metropolis of Paris, she continued her career at the French provincial theaters; in 1954 she sang at the Opera of Monte Carlo.
Nadine Renaux’ major roles included Blondchen in Entführung aus dem Serail, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Despina in Cosi fan tutte, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Rosina in Barber of Seville, Leila in Pêcheurs de Perles by Georges Bizet, Micaela in Carmen, in the eponymous opera Mireille by Charles Gounod, Olympia in Tales of Hoffmann, Philine in Mignon by Thomas, Manon by Massenet, Jacqueline in Fortunio by Messager, Traviata, Nedda in Pagliacci, Mimi in La Bohème, Butterfly and the title role in Ciboulette by R. Hahn.
