The German-born American mezzo-soprano, Judith Prenzlow, studied at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma (Class of 2012). She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Music-Education from Oklahoma State University (2012-2016), where she enjoyed the opportunity of performing the roles of Cherubino in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (February 2014) and Maddelana in Rigoletto. Since 2016, she studies for her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Literature at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.
Judith Prenzlow sang at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Stillwater (2014-2016). She has also performed as a soloist in several seasons of George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. She studies with Professor Katherine Ciesinski, and performed in Fall of 2016 as a soloist in Eastman’s performance of J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248). She has also performed in J.S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion (BWV 244), conducted by David Chin. She has played the role of Agathe in Philip Glass' chamber opera Les Enfants Terribles, as a part of the Eastman Opera Theater. She currently lives in Rochester, New York, and works at St. Paul's Episcopal Church there. Upon anticipated graduation in May 2018, she plans on pursuing her career in Chicago. |
