After 7 years in the Maîtrise de Radio France and 3 years at the l'Ecole Nationale d'Art Lyrique de l'Opéra de Paris, the Frensh soprano Isabelle Poulenard currently works under the direction of Jean-Claude Malgoir on a number of productions for the l'Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing.
Isabelle Poulenard has interpreted a number of roles under the direction of Charles Dutoit, William Christie, Philippe Herreweghe, Sigiswalkd Kuijken, Mstsilav Rostropovitch, amongst others. She has been invited to the music festivals of Carpentras, Avignon, Innsbruck, Aix en Provence, l'Opera du Rhin, l'Opera Bastille, l'Opéra Garnier, the Grand Théâtre of Bordeaux and also London, Tokyo, Lausanne…
Isabelle Poulenard has recorded with ADDA, Arion, Auvidis, CBS, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Emi and others ; especially taking note of her recording of Montezuma, which was awarded during the Victoires de la Musique 93 (French Music Awards).
In 1995 Isabelle Poulenard created the Ensemble Il Divertimento which includes Claire Giardelli, Yasuko Bouvar, Laurent Stewart and Nathalie Steinberg. The recordings of the Ensemble Il Divertimento include George Frideric Handel's Duetti e Cantate Astree/Auvidis) and a CD devoted to J.F. Reichhardt (Auvidis). |
