The English bass, David Porter-Thomas, studied at Westminster Abbey Choir School (where he was a member of Westminster Abbey Choir, who once sang at Princess Anne's wedding), at the Senior School of Haileybury College and music at the Royal College of Music in London. He wanted to play double-bass from his youth. Then his voice changed and "he was ableto' the notes he had always wanted to playl."
David Porter-Thomas is a freelance professional singer since 1987, based in London He was a member of the Swingle Singers (1987-1992; 1993-1996) and the English National Opera. He has also worked as teacher at St Pauls School, London and at Latymer School, London and has done session work and recording work.
Since January 2011, David Porter-Thomas is Manager of Charles Ramirez, the world renowned classical guitarist, at DPTRManagement in London. Since January 2013, he is Manager at SFX Team building in London, managing the vocal team building experience offered by SFX Team Building to corporates worldwide.He currently lives in London, England, |
