The Brazilian tenor, Reginaldo Pinheiro, had his first success as a winner of many singing competitions in his home country. In Germany, he studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe and continued his successful competitive career; so he won prizes at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, ARD Music Competition in Munich, Luisa Todi Singing Competition in Portugal, Francisco Vinas in Barcelona and s'Hertogenbosch in Holland. During this time he worked with many opera performances etc. as Tamino, Octavio, Edigardo and Siebel and gave recitals.
Today the focus of Reginaldo Pinheiro is the concert platform. His repertoire ranges from the roles of the Evangelist in J.S. Bach's oratorios to romantic and dramatic roles by Felix Mendelssohn, Rossini, Verdi and in oratorio. He has recently added Verdi's Requiem to his repertoire.
Reginaldo Pinheiro appears mainly in Europe but also in South America, the USA and Israel. He was a lecturer at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, then a professor at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main and at the Konservatorium in Maastricht. Since 2001, he is Professor of singing at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. Regular master-classes complement its educational activities. |
