The Hong Kong Chinese soprano, Rosaline Pi (Chinese: 畢永琴), graduated from Beliros Girls High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Physics degree and Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance rom McGill University, Canada; and her Master of Physics degree from the University of Calgary. She has Master of Philosophy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2011-2018), and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Philosophy, CUHK, researching phenomenology and philosophy of religion.
Rosaline Pi has over 25 years of experience in IT industry. One of the most active sopranos in Hong Kong, she often holds recitals and is good at performing early and Baroque vocal works. She has given vocal lectures in public many times to promote the history of music thought and his self-created "Simple Physics for Singing" singing skills. Since 2001, she has served as a vocal music critic for classical music radio stations. In 2019, she published the book Romanticism in Schubert's Songs-Innocent Feelings and the CD "Ode to Music-Bi Yongqin Schubert Songs Collection". Currently she is teaching vocal music at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. |
