The German bass, Georg Christoph Peter, studied singing privately with Pamela Hamblin and Professor Beata Heuer-Christen. He attended master-classes in early music with Peter Kooij and in Lied interpretation with Christoph Prégardien. He was also a member of Professor Klaus Häger's singing class at the Internationalen Bachakademie Stuttgart under the overall direction of Helmuth Rilling. He received decisive impulses in numerous master-classes for functional singing with Professor Thomas Heyer (HfMDK Frankfurt).
Georg Christoph Peter has been heard as a soloist in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden, Montepulciano (Italy), Komen (Slovenia) and in London (UK), among others.
Television (SWR) and radio recordings (SWR, Slovenian Radio) document Georg Christoph Peter's concert activities. He sang the bass role on the CD recording George Frideric Handel's Messiah (in Hebrew), released in September 2018, for the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel. He accompanied the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, the concerts took place in the Alte Oper Frankfurt.
Georg C. Peter is also a writer. In November 2020, his second book of poems Beethovens Butterbrot" - Heiter Historical Hero Epes was published. |
