The German contralto, Adelheid Peper, studied singing with Giorgio Favaretto at the Accademia S. Cecilia in Rome, and with Eva Ambrosius in Darmstadt, later with Hendrikus Rootering, Floriana Cavalli and Armand McLane.
After two years in the radio choirs of Rome and Hamburg, Adelheid Peper was engaged at the Staatstheater Darmstadt. After that almost exclusively concert activities. Cooperation with conductors such as Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Sergiu Celibidache, Chmura, Edmond de Stoutz, Bordignon, Shambadal. Concerts with the Windsbacher Knabenchor and the Thomanerchor Leipzig, among others. Radio and TV productions for ARD, ZDF, Radio Bremen, KRO Hilversum. Concert tours in Switzerland, Italy, England, Bulgaria and Israel.
Since 1986 Adelheid Peper has held a teaching position for singing at the Universität Mainz and supervises a number of renowned German choirs as a voice coach. |
