The Hungarian soprano, Júlia Pászthy, took up her study at Conservatory of Miskolc, than she moved to Budapest and gratuaded in 1974 at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest as an opera singer. She was awarded several prestigious national prizes such as the F. Liszt Medal in 1981. She was also awarded in many international competitions, such as Oestende, Barcelone, Prague, etc.
After graduation Júlia Pászthy joined to the National Opera in Budapest and made her debut as Euridice in Gluck’s Orpheo. She is considered in Hungary as a rising star in the operatic field. She has performed numerous operas as well as liturgical masterpieces, co-operating with famous conductors in Hungary and abroad.
