PsalmiDeo Chorale (= PDC) is a -based Filipino voice choir, united by the passion to sing and share its love of music to everyone. PsalmiDeo Chorale, endearingly known by friends and audiences as "Psalmi", was established in 2002 for Singapore-based Filipino professionals who want to share their love for choral music. A volunteer community choir, Psalmi boasts of members hailing from a range of professions including accountancy, architecture, business consultancy, communications, design, education, hospitality & retail, I.T., and medicine.
For more than a decade, Psalmi has been promoting Philippine culture and artistry through their unique repertoire of entertaining and thought-provoking pieces from various genres and musical periods, at various venues such as The Esplanade - Theatres by the Bay, Victoria Concert Hall, SOTA Concert Hall, The Arts House, CHIJMES Hall, SCO Concert Hall, and the Arts & Science Museum at Marina Bay Sands. It has collaborated with various Singaporean and Filipino artists for several concerts and projects organised by private companies, grassroots organisations, artistic societies and the Philippine Embassy in Singapore.
Psalmi is now under the musical direction of esteemed Filipino-American conductor and pedagogue, Dr Joel Magus P Navarro, who currently teaches at the Singapore Bible College. Under Navarro, Psalmi continues to explore new horizons and tackle new artistic challenges, building and strengthening bridges of trust and gratitude with various communities in Singapore.
