The German soprano, Julia Obert, was a member of the ensemble of the Junge Oper Stuttgart (March-November 2011) before studying music education at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (2012-2018). In 2015, she began her Bachelor of Music degree in Concertt & Opera with Professor Holger Speck, which she graduated with top marks in February 2018. In the class of Professor Snezana Stamenković at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim (2018-2019), she continued her Master of Music degree in Singing and in December 2020 again received the top grade for her final recital. Master-classes with Kammersängerin Brigitte Fassbaender, Teresa Berganza, Charlotte Lehmann, Franz Hawlata, Professor Ulrike Sonntag, Anne Grappotte, Helmut Lachenmann and Kammersängerin Ulrike Steinsky, among others, enriched her musical career. She is a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner-Verband Karlsruhe
Julia Obert works as an opera and concert singer. In the 2018-2019 season, she made her debut at the Oper Frankfurt as Susanna in the children's opera W.A. Mozart's Figaros Hochzeit. In September 2019 she was a soloist in the ballet opera production of Gluck / Neumeier's Orphée et Eurydice at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden . In the 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 seasons, she could also be heard at the Frankfurt Opera as Donna Anna in the children's opera W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni.
Julia Obert made guest appearances at the opera schools in Karlsruhe and Mannheim as well as in the Lied class of Profeessor Mitsuko Shirai and Professor Hartmut Höll. She currently gives several recitals and concerts with the latter. With her lied pianist Magdalena Wolfarth she has already given recitals at home and abroad.
Julia Obert is very active as a soloist, her current repertoire includes Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Haydn's Creation or Arthur Honegger's Le Roi David. She has been singing in the Vocalensemble Rastatt (Director: Holger Speck) since 2015, at whose concerts and radio productions she can also be heard regularly as a soloist - most recently she sang at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden alongside Anne Le Bozec (piano). She has sung under conductors such as Alessandro De Marchi and Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
Julia Obert has also been a singin teacher at Musikschule Ungefucht (since 2016). |
