The American tenor and voice teacher, Matthew Newhouse, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Applied Music, emphasis in Vocal Performance from Baylor University: School of Music (2016-2020). He currently studies for his Master of Music degree in Voice at Yale School of Music: Institute of Sacred Music (since 2021; expected graduation: 2023). His Awards include: 1st Place at TEXOMA NATS (2019), Dean's Award for Outstanding Performance (2019), Semper Pro Musica Winner (May 2019), Voces8 US Scholar (2018-2019). In December 2021, he performed George Frideric Handel's Messiah with Apollo's Fire and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra at the Riverside Church. In May 2022, he sang in Boston J.S. Bach's Cantata BWV 37 with Emmanuel Music under the direction of Ryan Turner. He currently lives in s in Boston, Massachusetts. |
