The French soprano, Mélodie Millot, was introduced to singing and music at the Maîtrise de Radio-France, which awarded her in 2003, while in Dominique Moati's class, a graduation diploma. She then continued her musical studies at the Université de Paris-Sorbonne (2003-2007), and in 2007 obtained jointly with the license the 1st Prix de Solfège from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt (2003-2004) and the Gold Medal from the CRD de Montreuil (2003-2007). She continued her vocal training with Françoise Pétro and Pascal Proust at the Conservatoire de Montreuil (2007-2009); then with Sophie Fournier at the Conservatoire de Romainville (2010-2012), obtaining in 2012 her Chamber Music Prize, in 2013 her Singing Prize. In 2014, she specialized in early music at the Conservatoire de Pantin in Alex de Valera's class and obtained her Prize.
With an interest in pedagogy and choir conducting, Mélodie Millot passed the Diplôme d'Etat de Formation Musicale by competitive examination and took up the post of Professor in the city of Paris. She currently teaches in elementary schools in Paris and is a singing teacher at the Maîtrise de Radio France (since 2012).
At the same time, Mélodie Millot sings in many choirs. Among them, the C.O.U.P.S (Director: Jacques Grimbert), Figure Humaine (Director: Denis Rouger), Pyramidion (Director: Pascal Denoyer), CBarré (Director: Sébastion Boin), L’Ensemble des Jeunes d’Ile-de-France (Director: Françis Bardot) , Vittoria (Director: Michel Piquemal) and Les Chantres de la Madeleine (Director: Philippe Mazé).
She has participated in numerous recordings and contemporary creations as a soloist with Guy Reibel, Michel Zbar, Philippe Mazé, Félix Ibarondo and many others. She performed chamber music with the ensemble Carpe Diem ensemble and Baroque music with Michel Laplénie with whom she sang Les Indes Galantes by J.-P. Rameau at the Festival du Périgord, or with Georges Guillard at the Oratoire du Louvre.
We find her in a lighter repertoire with the Trio Mélipeï which she created in 2009, performing at the Festivals des Murs à Pêches de Montreuil, and in 2012 at the launch of the Festival Breton Chambre with Vue. In the same spirit, she sings with Romances sans parole and Musique de Léonie, ensembles of Julien Joubert. |
