The American soprano, Patrice Michaels (formerly: Patrice Michaels Bedi), has concertized extensively, appearing with noted ensembles including the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee, San Antonio, Phoenix, and Shanghai Symphonies, Minnesota Orchestra, Chicago's Grant Park Orchestra and Music of the Baroque, Chicago, Maryland Handel Festival, Dallas Bach Society, Chicago Baroque Ensemble, and Boston Baroque. Conductors with whom she has collaborated include Robert Shaw, Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, Nicholas McGegan, Joseph Silverstein, Andrew Parrott, and Zdenek Macal. Patrice Michaels has sung with opera companies throughout North America including Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Cleveland Opera, Milwaukee's Florentine Opera, the Tacoma Opera, Colorado's Central City Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, and at the Banff Centre in Canada. A highlight of her 1999-2000 season was a recital tour of Belize and Havana, Cuba with Trio Chicago and Friends.
Patricia Michaels serves as Associate Professor of Opera Theater and Studio Voice at Lawrence University's Conservatory of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Patrice Michaels has recorded eight acclaimed CDs for Cedille Records. Her recordings include also J.S.
