The American mezzo-soprano, Ariel McKinney (Ariel Aiono-Netzler), obtained her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Opera from the University of Albama (2016-2018). She sang the role Bradamante in George Frideric Handel's Alcina with Red River Lyric Opera (July 2017), and the role of the mother in Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors with University of Alabama’s Opera Theatre (December 2017). She also performed at BayView Music Festival (Summer 2017). She currently lives in Denver, where she is 3rd Grade Teacher at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish and School (since June 2019) and Staff Mezzo-soprano at Opera Colorado (since August 2018). She is also owner of Song of Songs Photography. |
