The American counter-tenor and writer, Bryce Ridley McClendon, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Furman Univesity (2011-2015); and his Master of Music degree in Voice and Opera from University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance (2017-2019). During his studies he was Marketing And Development Intern at North Carolina Opera in Raleigh (April-August 2013); Intern/Assistant at Greenville Symphony Orchestra (January-April 2014); Intern at North Carolina Opera (May-August 2014); Chancel Choir Conductor and Chapel Intern at Furman University (August 2014-May 2015); Apprentice Artist at Opera Neo in San Diego, California (July-August 2018; Arsace in Partenope); Marc & Eva Stern Fellow at SongFest in Los Angeles (May-June 2019). In 2020, he was Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions.
Bryce McClendon sang as alto soloist in various repertoire with South Carolina Bach Choir (2016-2019). After his studies, he has worked as Director of Operations at Fusion Academy (August 2019-August 2020); Customer Support Team Lead at Dover (since August 2020). He currently lives in Manhattan, New York. |
