The Polish mezzo-soprano, Anna Mazur-Krawczyk, studied at Państwowe Policealne Studium Zawodowe Wokalno-Baletowe in Gliwice, Poland. She studied music at the Katowice Academy of Music (Akademia Muzyczna w Katowicach) in Poland. She has received numerous awards and international recoginition, including: Polish Music Competition: Finalist, Katowice (1998); Slavic Music Competition: Finalist, Katowice (2000); Converse College Scholarship: South Carolina (2000).
Anna Mazur-Krawczyk has performed operatic works from major composers such as L.v. Beethoven, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart and George Frideric Handel; on international stages in Germany, Switzerland, Poland, France and Austria. She has sung with the Krakow Philharmonic Opera, Silesia Opera, Katowice Academy of Music, Sinfonietta de Paris, Munich Opera House, Warsaw Cathedral, Lyric Opera of Chicago, DaCornetto Opera of Chicago.
Anna Mazur-Krawczyk has appeared in classic works, such as Eugene Onegin, W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Verdi's Aida, Don Carlos, J.S. Bach's Magnificat (BWV 243), G.F. Handel's Messiah, W.A. Mozart's Requiem, as well as more contemporary works, such as My Fair Lady and Cats. She currently lives in Chicago, Illinois, USA. |
