The Swedish soprano, Jennie Lomm, started singing in a choir at the age of 7 and later discovered opera and classical singing. She continued to apply to music colleges and chose to do her Bachelor at the at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium = Royal Danish Music Conservatory (2009-2012). During the years in Copenhagen there were performances both as a soloist but also in various different ensembles. To gain more stage experience, she applied to Stockholm's Opera Studio at Kulturama. For a year, she worked intensively on the stage design and getting ready to apply for further opera studies. She applied for the Master Oper und Musiktheater at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and was accepted. During her studies there (2014-2017), she sang roles such as Adele in Edward Harrigan's Leather Patch, Drusilla in C. Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea and Blanche in Francis Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites.
Jennie sings both solo as well as in smaller ensembles and performs in Sweden, Denmark and Germany, among others. In recent years, she has, among other things, participated in the Scanian Opera's summer tour as Donna Anna in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, sung with the opera choir in several productions at the Royal Theater in Copenhagen, recordings and numerous concerts around Europe with the Balthasar-Neumann-Chor (Director: Thomas Hengelbrock) and Copenhagen Soloists (Director: Jonathan Ofir) and appeared as a soloist in including W.A. Mozart's Requiem, George Frideric Handel's Messiah and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. She currently lives in Ystad, Sweden, |
