The German counter-tenor, Michael Lieb, began his professional musical career already at the age of nine years as a member and later as a soloist of the children's choir of the Staatsoper Hannover. Even before his school, he was soloist of the Landesjugendchor on international tours, leading singer of the Landesbühne Niedersachsen in operetta productions and visiting productions at the Staatsoper Hannover. He studied singing with Professor Harry van der Kamp, Department of Early Music at the Hochschule für Künste.
Michael Lieb has since appeared in concerts then with the various ensembles such as Il Cigno and Sacrarmonia and as soloist in various oratorio and opera productions world-wide. So he has performed include also at the Bachtagen in Novosibirsk and with the Cadenza Barockmusikwoche at the Berliner Staatsoper.
In addition, Michael Lieb worked at various radio productions for e.g. Radio Bremen and LyricFM Ireland, and can be heard as a soloist in various concert recordings.
His strong interest in music led him to many exceptional co-operations in Chanson and Pop Music Projects, such as with Hannover's cabaret group Hebebühne, or as a singer in the Berliner Varietéformation Vivace on international tours. |
