The German contralto and choral conductor, Andrea Letzing, studied at Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich with Professor Markus Goritzki. She also took part in courses and master-classes e.g. with Professor Kurt Widmer (Basel), Anna Reynolds and the Hilliard Ensemble, as well as a period in Italian "Bel Canto" with Johannes R. Libal in Vienna, and conducting with Professor Michael Gläser.
In addition to a busy solo concert career, especially in the fields of oratorio, Lieder and new music, Andrea Letzing is a member of the Konzertchor des Bayerischen Rundfunks. As a conductor, she leads her own ensembles since 2002 (Konzertchor imPuls!, capella vocale iffeldorf, Jugendchor "feiakweia") and performs great choral works of different periods (including J.S. Bach’s Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248), George Frideric Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem and C. Orff Carmina Burana).
In addition, Andrea Letzing is a singing teacher and vocal coach and from 2010 a trainer for Alexander Technique at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. |
