The German baritone, Olaf Lemme, completed his singing training at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. He received prizes and awards at several competitions, such as the Belvedere-Wettbewerb in Vienna, the Dvořák Competition in Karlovy Vary and the Schwetzingen Festival.
Olaf Lemme has been part of the Volkstheater Rostock ensemble since 1991. Guest engagements have taken him to the Staatstheater Schwerin, Staatstheater Cottbus, Theater Lübeck and Oper Leipzig. Important roles in his career so far have included Marquis de Posa in Don Carlos, Germont in La Traviata, Wolfram in Tannhäuser, Graf in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, Scarpia in Tosca, Mandryka in Arabella and Rigoletto in Rigoletto.
In addition to his work as a singer, Olaf Lemme teaches at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock. He currently lives in Rostock, Germany. |
