The American soprano, Cathereine Laider-Lau, studied at the Grand Valley State University. She was finalist at the Concurso Int’l de Canto in Rio de Janeiro, sang in the Aspen Festival’s Opera Theater Center program, and was a master class participant and performer at the Salzburg Music Festival.
Cathereine Laider-Lau has enjoyed the success of opera, sacred music, oratorio and concert appearances from New York City to as far away as Hong Kong, where one critic noted she had “an agile and captivating voice.” She is at home as a recitalist, offering programs of art songs from the French, German, and Italian composers’ repertoires. Sacred music is closest to her heart however, and she feels privileged to be able to use sacred music to assist Long Island’s hurricane victims. |
