The German soprano, Julla von Landsberg, began her singing studies at the Münchner Richard-Strauss Konservatorium and continued them at the Institut für Alte Musik der Hochschule für Musik Trossingen. Finally, she studied with Elvira Dreßen singing for theatre music at the Hochschule Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy in Leipzig. In 2007 she won the Wettbewerb Deutscher Musikhochschulen (Competition of German Music Colleges) with the Ensemble Il Disegno Interno. In 2008 she won with the Hofkapelle Schloß Seehaus a scholarship at the Competition of the Deutschen Musikrats (German Music Council) and was inducted into the National Selection Concerts by young artists.
Concert activities and free opera engagements have taken Julla von Landsberg all over Europe, mainly with repertoire before 1790. She has worked with musicians such as Hermann Max, Ludger Rémy, Michael Schönheit, Stephan MacLeod, Ralf Popken, Jochen Martini and Arno Paduch. She has performed inter alia at festivals such as the Göttinger Händelfestspielen, the Styriarte Graz, RheinVokal and the Bachfest Leipzig.
Julla von Landsberg has participated in CD productions by Sony Classical, Naxos, CPO and Chrismon Edition, as well as numerous radio recordings show their presence in the early music. As a founding member of the Ensemble Santenay in 2008 she published her debut CD with music of the Middle Ages. Santenay has appeared inter alia at international festivals such as Rencontres de Musique Médiévale du Thoronet, the Davos Festival, the Ljubljana Festival, the Ravenna Festival and others. |
