The German soprano, Heike Maria Kumlin, began studying opera at Aachen. Her graduation with "distinction" was a prerequisite for the subsequent concert examination in Cologne. Master-classes with Edith Mathis, Judith Beckmann, Peter Schreier and Christian Pregardien were formative for her.
After initial engagements in opera and operetta, Heike Maria Kumlin decided to stavlish her work in concerts in co-operation with the Thomanerchor Leipzig and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, as well as in co-productions with the Semperoper. CD recordings and radio broadcasts with the Thomanerchor Leipzig and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, among others, document her versatile work. |
