The Macedonian soprano, Despina Krango, started her musical beginnings at the age of 7 in the lower music school "IlijaNikolovski-Luj" where she got acquainted with the piano and singing in the children's choir "Golden Nightingale". From her high school days, she started studying classical singing with tenor Georgi Cuckovski and soprano Vesna Ginovska Ilkova, where later in 2015 she finished her higher education, graduating with honors - cum laude in the class of Professor M.Sc. Biljana Jovanovska Jakimovska. She perfected her opera singing in the class of the renowned soprano Professor Ana Durlovski and continuingly perfecting her vocal technique under her vocal mentorship to this day. In 2018, at the Faculty of Music Arts at UKIM - Skopje, she successfully obtained a Master of Music degree in music interpretation - solo singing, in her class (2016-2018).
Despina Krango had significant performances at the concerts in honor of Professor Milan Firfov, in honor of Professor Kosta Trpkov where she performed with the orchestra of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, the cycle of concerts at FMU - Music Viva, collaborates with the publishing and marketing house Proart, was a member of the choir Dragan Suplevski, Mirce Acev and is a member of the association OperaTi. In 2015, she worked on her first solo role, the role of Hava in the famous musical Fiddler on the Roof - Jerry Bock, which premiered at the Macedonian Opera and Ballet. In 2016 and 2017 she was part of the event Russian Romance, where she performed in Macedonia and Bulgaria. In parallel with her master studies, she had active cooperation with the Macedonian Opera and Ballet (November 2016-December 2020), as a member she performed at the May Opera Evenings season 2016-2020, the Ohrid Summer Festival, co-operation with the Macedonian Philharmonic and others.
Despina Krango has participated in many vocal master-classes held by famous soloists and professors from Europe. In November 2018 at the Museum of the City of Skopje she performed her solo recital together with the pianist Mimoza Keka.
In March 2019, Despina Krango premiered the lead role, the role of Anne Frank in the musical drama Anne Frank’s Diary on the stage of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet. In November 2019, she successfully realized an evening concert of Chamber Music in Bezisten Gallery in Stip with the pianists Mimoza Zeka and Jovana Trajceva where later in 2020 they received an invitation to perform the same concert in the American Cathedral in Paris - France. She later prepared Chamber Music concerts in different locations in Macedonia together with soprano Stefani Dudik and pianist Milan Jankuloski. She currently lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. |
