The Hungarian soprano, Veronika Kincses, is the daughter of György Kincses and Etelka Angyal. She studied at the Academy of Music in Budapest from 1968 to 1973, and at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
In 1973, Veronika Kincses became a soloist at the Hungarian State Opera House. She has appeared on many of the world opera stages. She has sung leading roles in several complete opera albums with Hungarian and foreign record companies, seven solo recordings; performances and recordings of independent film and television productions have appeared on DVD. She is a winner of International Record Prizes (Paris, New York). She has been a frequent guest with great success at many of the world opera houses, including the Wiener Staatsoper, Berlin Deutsche Oper, Venice’ Teatro La Fenice, Rome Opera House, Teatro Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, in Boston , San Francisco, and Montreal operas. She was a prominent guest at festivals in Salzburg, Vienna, Athens, Thessaloniki, Bard Festival (New York), Florence, Dresden, etc, and has sung in Singapore, Hong Kong, Israel, concert halls, and also at Carnegie Hall. In Turkey she sang the role of Judith in Béla Bartók’s opera Bluebeard's Castle. Her portrayal of Mimi in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly is second to none.

Veronika Kincses is Professor at the University of Pécs: Faculty of Arts. Her son is the composer, conductor Gergely Vajda.
