The American bass-baritone and content creator, Nathan Jebediah Kessel, was deemed young artist of the year by the Boston Globe in 2013 as well as distinguished artist by the town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. He has been performing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra as a member of the Tanglewood Festival Choir since he was 16 years old. He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester (2014-2018), studying under Anthony Dean Griffey; and his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Rice University (August 2018-2020), under the tutelage of Dr. Robin Rice and coaches Tom Jaber and Michael Heaston.
In September-October 2016, Nathan Kessel made his Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra debut as Samuel in the Pirates of Penzance. In September 2017, he made his first appearance at the Rochester Lyric Opera as Henri in The Polite Abductress by Douglas Lowry. In November 2017, he performed as Ottone in Montiverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea at Eastman under the direction of Paul O'Dette and Steven Carr. He was an apprentice at Ash Lawn Opera (2016), Apprentice at Charlottesville Opera (June-August 2016) and a young artist at Ohio Light Opera in 2017. Since Maay 2017, he is Opera Singer at Charlottesville Opera.
Nathan Kaessel is also a content creator on social media and has over 9.3 million followers on Tiktok (began in early 2000), over 650K on YouTube, over 240K followers on Instagram and over 580K on Snapchat and is always open to collaborations. He has been featured on Ellen Degeneres, Sports Center, ESPN, MTV and more. He has worked with Royal Carribean, Manscaped, Original Penguin and many more on brand campaigns. He currently lives in Houston Texas. |
