The Korean tenor, Sungwon Jin (Korean: 진성원), studied vocal music at Seoul National University Music College. He then moved to Germany, where he obtained his singing opera diploma from at Hochschule für Musik Berlin; his concerrt exam in singing, Lied and oratorio from at Hochschule für Musik Hamburg; and his Master degree in singing/opera from the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. He then went to Italy, France and Spain to attend summer academies and master-classes to study with many teachers. His awards are also impressive. He is a talented person who has swept not only domestic competitions such as the KBS Newcomer Competition Gold Award and the JoongAng Ilbo Competition 1st place, but also overseas competitions such as the world's most prestigious Maria Callas International Competition Special Award in Greece, Mendelssohn Competition in Frankfurt, Berlin International Competition and Schubert Competition in Osaka, etc.
Sungwon Jin performed 15 times of solo recital internationally in Germany, Japan, and Korea. He also performed over 20 roles of opera as Duca in Rigoletto, as Rodolfo in La Bohéme, as Nemorino in L’eliair d’amore, as Tamino in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, etc. He also sang over 30 works of Oratorio as a solist in messia, in Felix Mendelssohn's Elias, L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, W.A. Mozart's Requiem, Stabat mater, J. Haydn's Die Schöpfung, etc.
