The Polish bass-baritone, Artur Janda, studied at Państwowe Liceum Muzyczne w Częstochowie (Class of 2001). In 2009, he graduated from Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (Uniwersytet Muzyczny Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie), where he studied voice with Anna Radziejewska and piano with Kazimierz Gierżod.
Artur Janda regularly performs and records with La Tempesta ancient music ensemble. Since 2008, he has been a soloist of Warsaw Chamber Opera (Warszawska Opera Kameralna), performing mostly W.A. Mozart and Rossini operas. In 2011 he performed in Nationaltheater Mannheim in the premiere of Superflumina by Salvatore Sciarrino. Beside opera he performs also oratorio repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary compositions.
In years 2012-2015 he had been a member of proMODERN vocal sextet who in year 2015 won two "Fryderyk" Polish Phonographic Academy prizes for the best recording of Polish music for the album: “Where are you. Pieces from Warsaw”. He currently lives in Warsaw, Poland. |
