The Romanian mezzo-soprano, Mihaela Maria Ișpan, graduated from the the "Gheorghe Dima" Music Academy
in Cluj-Napoca, in the class of University Professor Alexandru Fărcaş and University Lecturer Ramona Eremia and also obtained there her Master degree, "Vocal performing stylistics" specialization, Classical Vocal Music (Bel Canto) and Scenic Art Faculty (1999-2006). She participated in several master-classes led by Alexandru Farcaş, Mariana Nicolesco, Ion Buzea, Viorica Cortez, Niculina Mirea. Also, in 2002 and 2003 she attended artistic mastery courses at the
Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart. She won the Grand Prize and the Audience Prize at the "Paul Constantinescu" National Music Interpretation Competition in Ploiesti, in 2005.
In the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 seasons, Mihaela Işpan was a collaborator of the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca, in the 2005-2006 season she was employed at the
Liceului de Artă "Sabin Drăgoi" in Arad, at the Classical Singing department, and since the 2006-2007 season she has been a soloist of the Bucharest National Opera, where she debuted in the role of Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Gioachino Rossini. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous musical institutions in Romania such as the State Philharmonic Orchestra from Arad (2005-2015), Radio Chamber Orchestra from Bucharest (2006-2015), Organ Hall in Chisinau, Moldova (2007-2015), Hermannstadter Bachchor (2009-2015), "George Enescu"
Bucharest Philharmonic Orchestra (2009-2015), Radio National Orchestra from Bucharest (2009-2015), "Banatul" State Philharmonic Orchestra from Timisoara (2010-2015), Romanian National Opera from Timisoara, Choir of Juventute" of "Babes-Bolyai" University from Cluj-Napoca. |
