The American soprano, Natalia Hulse, graduated from the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance under the tutelage of Kathryn Cowdrick (2016-2020), with a Dual Degree, Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from the University of Rochester (2016-2020). In 2015, she was the recipient of the Lowry Award through the Rochester Music Hall of Fame. She is currently studying with Catherine Cook for her Master of Music degree at San Francisco Conservatory of Music (since 2021).
Natalia Hulse has done a variety of classical works and musical theater, both worlds being her passion. She of has performed with Ohio Light Opera, Geneva Light Opera, Eastman Theater. Most recently, she as cast to play Johanna in Sondheim's Sweeney Todd with the Eastman Opera Theatre (April 2020), supported generously by the Friends of Eastman Opera. Other credits include the cover of Barbarina in W.A. Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro at Geneva Light Opera, Beth March in Little Women at Blackfriars Theatre, and Amor in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea with the Eastman Opera Theater. In 2018, she was a featured performer in the We Make Friends concert series which were performed in the Rachmaninoff Hall at the Moscow Conservatory in Russia where she was able to study with renowned coloratura soprano and Moscow Conservatory professor Larissa Rudakova.
